Applied Statistics: From Data to Decisions

Welcome to MS&E 125. This book accompanies the Spring 2026 offering at Stanford University.

The course is organized in three acts:

• Act 2: Trust Models (Lectures 8–12) — Statistical inference and diagnostics
• Act 3: See Further (Lectures 13–19) — Classification, dimensionality reduction, causality, and the frontier
